The Swedish Rose

When life begins to get in the way, and the end of term is fast approaching, there’s only one thing to do…make a gin cocktail to see you through to the end!

This time I needed a bit of a pick-me-up, and with it being spring I figured floral was the way to go.  So I decided to chuck some of my favourites into a glass and see what happened.  My oh my, the results were delightful.

I just so happened to have a wee dram of Swedish Rose left, how this treasure escaped me up until now I’m not quite sure…(I lie, it had fallen into the bowl of empty bottles which I insist on keeping and I only found it by chance!) A collaboration between Hernö Distillery and That Boutique-y Gin Company, this gin was awarded “The London Dry Gin Trophy” for 2017 so is definitely one worth adding to the collection!  By adding rose petals to their classic London Dry recipe and making a few other tweaks, they really have created something quite stunning.

I decided to combine the gin with a touch of pink and fizz…

What you need:

Swedish Rose

What to do:
  1. Pour Swedish Rose into champagne flute
  2. Add Rose Lemonade
  3. Top up with fizz
  4. Drink and enjoy!

Some may see this as a bit of a rose overload, but personally, I love that Turkish Delight flavour which is complimented beautifully by the dryness of the prosecco.  I am now ready to face another day!

Let me know how you get on, happy cocktail times!
